Local and international cyclist have gathered in the Mother City for the Cape Town Cycle Tour this coming Sunday.
Cyclists who have entered the challenge and will attempt to conquer a 110 kilometres gruelling route which reaches 1220 metres in elevation.
This 41st annual event will kick off at the historic Grand Parade precinct in the Cape Town CBD.
Sponsorship director at the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust David Bellairs says everything is going according to plan for the event.

Bellairs says they are expecting between 33 to 35 000 cyclists to be on the start line on Sunday. In terms of the weather, he says there will a southeasterly wind blowing on Sunday.
