Msimanga says DA can't rule out coalition with EFF in Gauteng

The DA's Premier candidate in Gauteng, Solly Msimanga, tells 702's Eusebius McKaiser that the party cannot rule out the possibility of a coalition government with the EFF in the province.

Msimanga says the opposition party is willing to collaborate with other political groups in order to secure a majority in the May elections.

We will work with anybody that is willing to put the people of the City first... We cannot exclude anybody.

'We need to build communities, not slums'

At the same time, Msimanga says its possible to get rid of informal settlements in the province with political will and investment in mixed housing communities as well as economic opportunities.

There's a serious concern about spatial panning that needs to be addressed immediately.. We need to look at alternative building mechanisms, such as high-rise as an example.
