Parliament's Home Affairs committee has found that the Gupta's naturalisation was fraudulent.

The committee has also found that former home affairs minister, Malusi Gigaba was wrong in granting members of this infamous family early naturalisation and it has recommended that criminal charges should be laid against Gupta associate Ashu Chawla.

EWN reporter Babalo Ndenze says Gigaba was wrong to naturalise the Gupta family.

The committee also says that it appears Mr Rajesh Gupta may have had the ability to influence the decision taken by Malusi Gigaba and the reason, therefore, should be properly investigated.

The former minister's name is mentioned about 30 to 40 times in the report, and he also has a case to answer.
