What you need to know about the new political party ZACP

Founding member and chair of the ZACP (Capitalist Party of South Africa) Kanthan Pillay, explains why they have just launched a new party and what the party aims to achieve.

Finding himself in a bit of fix when trying to find a party to vote for in the upcoming elections, Pillay decided to start his own.

Pillay says the party will be founded on his growing expertise in the media industry and other accomplishments acquired over the years.

The things that we did were not rocket science, we just acted wisely in new technology.

He says he works with a team of competent people who are eager to turn things around in this country.

Pillay and his team have spent time trying to find solutions to some of the country's problems like lack of proper sanitation, improving policing and increasing tourism in the country.

We wanted to move away from the culture of personality and rather get people to focus on the ideas.

Sure we should be thinking about solutions to problems and not who are the people implementing the solutions because the culture of personality is soo outrageous.

People respond to something either positively or negatively just because Helen Zille said it irrespective of whether the idea is good or bad.

Asked why people should vote for the ZACP, Pillay says the party has real solutions to the country's problems.

There are things that if we get into Parliament we can do almost immediately and they cost the country almost nothing.
