'Zuma believes that nuclear deal with Russia would've solved SA energy crisis'
In an exclusive interview with Tiso Blackstar senior specialist reporter, Karyn Maughan, former president Jacob Zuma is adamant that a nuclear deal with Russia would have prevented the energy crisis South Africa is currently experiencing.
Maughan says Zuma cites government cutting funding for his corruption trial defence legal bills shows there is a political motive against him in the country.
Maughan spoke to Bongani Bingwa about her interview with the former president.
Meeting him was fascinating. He no longer has the power that he had. Zuma faces legal costs of R30 million that he has to repay and he faces the prospect of the state capture inquiry, so he has a lot on his mind.Karyn Maughan, Senior specialist reporter - Tiso Blackstar
