Western Cape Community Safety MEC, Alan Winde, has expressed his anger over the death of two people during a protest march in Caledon.

According to Winde, the two people are believed to have been caught in a stampede during a standoff between the police and protestors.

Police are investigating the deaths of the two people.

The reason for the protest is still unknown but it is rumoured to be housing related.
