The Land Party has launched a complaint with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) following a brawl in Hout Bay, Cape Town on Thursday evening at an SABC elections town hall meeting aimed at providing a platform for the smaller political parties.
The chaotic scenes played out on live television when Economic Freedom Fighters and Land Party supporters started throwing chairs at each other.
We received a report that it was well orchestrated and this matter planned even before it happened because they were trying to prevent us from selling our policies to the public.— Gcobani Ndzongana, President - Land Party
Ndzongana says the EFF members waited until their leader finished so they can disrupt the event.
Why must we tolerate the nonsense of the EFF as if we are scared of them?— Gcobani Ndzongana, President - Land Party
I don't have a personal agenda with the leaders of the EFF but I understand that they don't like me, they hate me. I don't know what is the reason.— Gcobani Ndzongana, President - Land Party
If IEC cannot intervene, they must not come and blame the Land Pary when we defend ourselves. We are not going to allow this thing to happen again.— Gcobani Ndzongana, President - Land Party
We can't be bullied by anyone.— Gcobani Ndzongana, President - Land Party
