Despite calls to be addressed by Mashaba, the mayor has now confirmed he will only visit the area on 15 April.

At Friday's meeting residents expressed their frustrations, accusing the mayor of undermining them and threatening to move on Sandton.

Eyewitness News (EWN) reporter Edwin Ntshidi was there.

The phrase that was continually used in that meeting was that Mashaba is 'undermining us'.

It was resolved that they will take their frustrations to Sandton. They are saying it will be a total shutdown, nobody will be allowed to drive , the M2 and Malboro drive will be closed as well as the two Gautrain stations in the region.
