What impact does the mushrooming of illegal structures in Alexandra have on town planning?

Residents took to the streets last week protesting against illegal structures in the township.

Gauteng premier David Makhura visited the area and vowed to demolish any buildings found to have been erected unlawfully.

Azania Mosaka spoke to Zenzile Mbinza who is a lecturer at the Department of Town and Regional Planning at UJ on what can be done to solve the problems in Alex.
