Home Affairs update: Three Western Cape offices still offline

There have been glitches with the online system at some of the Home Affairs offices in the Western Cape after a recent upgrade.

Department of Home Affairs Cape Metro co-ordinator, Sam Plaatjies provides an update on which offices are back online.

He says the Bellville office is still offline. The Cape Town office is able to process collections but not applications.

In the Cape Town office we had some errors identified this morning on applications. Our technicians in Pretoria are looking at the problem and issues identified. They have committed to come back to us shortly.

In the outskirts, George office is still offline.

It's just the online services that are affected but other services like birth, marriages and deaths we can still facilitate.
