As the ANC we can't shift the blame, Legoete tells Eusebius

The African National Congress (ANC) spokesperson Dakota Legoete tells Eusebius McKaiser and his co-host for the day, fellow broadcaster JJ Tabane, that President Cyril Ramaphosa went to Alexandra as part of the campaign trail.

Legoete says money believed to have been squandered in the Johannesburg township needs to be investigated.

Ramaphosa addressed the residents of Alex on Thursday following a series of service delivery protests.

It was under the routine of the top six of the ANC.

Legoete says it cannot allow criminality to continue and those who have wasted money must face the full might of the law.

Our people in Alex are under a tremendous challenge. Service delivery backlog is not an issue we can take for granted.

Dakota Legoete, ANC spokesperson

We don't want to shift the blame as the ANC. We are the government at the end of the day.

McKaiser and Tabane engaged listeners on various issues - from politics to everyday issues.
