Professor Marianne Vanderschuren from the centre for transport studies at the University of Cape Town says a pragmatic approach is needed to fix the Passsenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) crisis.
This follows statement made by Transport Minister Blade Nzmande that he will appoint a task team to undertake an analysis of Prasa over the next two months.
Nzimande on Thursday also said government’s strategy to turn around the crisis-ridden Prasa had failed.
