[WATCH] Oil riggers rescue pooch 200 kms out to sea

Workers on an oil rig in the Gulf of Thailand spotted the exhausted dog clinging to the pipes of the rig and managed to pull her to safety. The rig was over 200kms out to sea and the rescuers say the dog had clearly been in the water for a long time.

She was dehydrated and exhausted but after food, water and rest was soon back on her feet.

The video was posted by oil rigger Khon Vitisak, who helped rescue the animal nicknamed Boonrod and says he hopes to adopt it if no one steps forward to claim the brown Aspin.
