Khulu Phasiwe: My little boy would repeat everything I said about load shedding

Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe recently resigned from the position after five years.

He speaks to Kieno Kammies about coping with an incredibly stressful job and why he decided to quit.

It's been a rough ride and I feel like I need to spend more time with family.

He says he barely had the chance to say good morning or good night to his children. The only time they heard him was listening to his radio interviews while travelling in the car.

His nine-year-old son was four when he became Eskom national spokesperson.

He knew almost everything I needed to say about load shedding and would repeat some of those things when he was playing with his sister.
