President Cyril Ramaphosa is attending summits on Sudan and Libya hosted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in Cairo on Tuesday.

To discuss the Ramaphosa's visit, EWN African correspondent Jean-Jacques Cornish speaks to Clement Manyathela on the Xolani Gwala Show.

Cornish says the African Union (AU) gave Sudan 15 days to sort out its crisis and that was on the 15 of April.

Sudan has a couple of days left to sort out that one.

Jean-Jacques Cornish, African correspondent - EWN

He says it is interesting that Sisi has called this summit as Sudan is Egypt's neighbour and it was part of Egypt before its independence in 1956.

There is an irony here and that is Sisi seized power in a coup himself in 2014 and that Egypt was for two years excluded from deliberations of the AU.

Jean-Jacques Cornish, African correspondent - EWN

He adds that the AU has a lot of hard work to do for both Sudan and Libya.
