ANC, EFF and DA release albums ahead of the 2019 national elections
In a bid to win the voters hearts, the ANC, EFF and DA have recorded albums to coincide with their campaigns.
According to City Press journalist Phumlani S Langa, the idea behind these campaign compilations could be viewed as politicians using art for their murky agendas.
He speaks to 702's Azania Mosaka about each of the albums and what the party's explanations are for song choices.
Langa says the albums have failed to provide anything timeless beyond the elections and the music will be relevant only for the next couple of weeks.
