Socialist Revolutionary Workers Party ready to fight for workers' rights

In 2018, a breakaway union from Cosatu and Numsa announced it would contest the 2019 general elections under the Socialist Revolutionary Workers Party.

The new party was prompted by unhappiness with the ANC government concerning workers issues.

Speaking to Africa Melane on the Bongani Bingwa show, chairperson Irvin Jim says the Socialist Revolutionary Workers Party will pursue a revolutionary agenda.

The question of economic transformation in this country could not take place. The question of championing manufacturing and industrialisation in an economy that is owned by blacks and whites has not happened.
