The Electoral Court has ruled to allow the Black Land First (BLF) to contest the 2019 general elections.
The Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) tried to have the BLF deregistered as a political party in the Gauteng High Court.
Lawyers for the FF+ insist that the registration of the BLF was not gazetted - denying it the opportunity to object within the stipulated 30 day period.
Speaking to Aubrey Masango on the Eusebius McKaiser show, FF+ member of parliament Wouter Wessels says legislation should be adhered to.
It is untrue that the court said the BLF is now on the ballot paper.— Wouter Wessels, Freedom Front Plus MP
We are saying we cannot allow for legislation not to be adhered to. We won't give up because nobody is above the law.— Wouter Wessels, Freedom Front Plus MP
We are not afraid of the BLF. We are not afraid of having them in Parliament; we don't think they will make it to Parliament.— Wouter Wessels, Freedom Front Plus MP
BLF leader Andile Mgxitama says the Freedom Front Plus is a racist party of white men.
These land thieves know that no matter how many seats the BLF has, the ANC and the EFF and black parties are going to be forced to do the right thing and the right thing is to make sure the land is returned.— Andile Mgxitama, BLF Leader
We are going to Parliament. White land thieves must get strong because we are coming for them.— Andile Mgxitama, BLF Leader
