Associating with a party will ruin your career, warns comedian Mashabela Galane

South African Mashabela Galane is one of seven comedians featured in another season of Laugh in Your Language with an elections special episode.

Joey Rasdien, Rob van Vuuren and Tumi Morake, Muzi Dlamini, Rob van Vuuren and Elton van Vuuren will be part of the show which airs on Comedy Central on Friday night.

Galane joined Joanne Joseph in studio to give his take on the country's politics as well as the upcoming elections.

The only party I feel sorry for is Cope. They were complaining that ANC was taking some of its members but I was like, guys, you had your rally at Nando's.

Mashabela Galane, SA comedian

To be honest most people I have engaged with are going to vote for EFF because they want to punish the ANC.

Speaking on Hlaudi Motsoeneng's electioneering, Galane says the magic is in the hands.

He is so ambitious and believes he is going to the Union Buildings, not Parliament. Maybe he went to these churches where they resurrect people and they told him in 2019 he is going to be the president.

Galane says he would never disclose his vote because associating himself with any party may end one's career.

You guys think we are free as artists but once you associate yourself with a certain party, if that party loses, your career is gone.
