Donald Trump threatens Beijing with tariff hikes

US President Donald Trump is at it again.

Trump has threatened to raise the stakes in the simmering US-China trade war.

The president tweeted that tariffs of 10% on certain goods would rise to 25% on Friday, and $325 billion of untaxed goods could face 25% duties 'shortly'.

Speaking to Melanie Rice, US foreign policy expert Brooks Spector says no one was expecting the change of heart from Trump.
