[VIDEO] Security guard brutally driven over in Stellenbosch carpark

Twitter user Marisa Calvert posted a video on Monday writing 'Guys, this happened at Spar in Die Boord and I am traumatised!!! I seriously hope someone wrote down the reg number and this driver is arrested!

Watching the events unfold on the video, one can see a bakkie driver driving into a parking bay. The camera then later picks up the driver reversing out to leave. The security guard can be seen explaining to the driver that the lane is a one-way and he is going in the wrong direction.

Arrows can clearly be seen marking the one-way on the tarmac.

The driver seemingly does not want to listen and then shockingly drives right over the man!

The South African reports that it contacted the Spar and was told the guard had suffered minor injuries, had been released from hospital and was expected back at work next week.

Twitter uses posted that the driver has been arrested.

Please note: This video contains extremely graphic footage and is not for sensitive viewers.
