Consumer Talk correspondent Wendy Knowler says according to the Consumer Protection Act, suppliers are required to exercise a degree of care, diligence and skill as can be expected from a person responsible for managing any property belonging to another.

If they don’t they are responsible for any resultant loss or damage to a client’s goods.
