Organisation outlines how it will protect property rights, advocates for a referendum on land.

As the results of the sixth South African democratic elections are trickling in, the Land Party explains what it stands for and how it will grow the economy.

Head of communications Buntu Gwija says the Land Party's policies are very much into collectivism, meaning that if the country moves into collective farming, the country's economy will perform better.

We stand for the strengthening of the property rights and we stand for advocacy that will ensure that we go on a referendum when it comes to land issues.

We believe that if we open a big economy it will create a lot of opportunities for South Africans.

The Land Party believes that unnecessary taxes that South Africans are currently paying must be abolished.

According to Gwiji, the high number of ministers in Parliament is straining the economy.

We would probably have the expropriation of land without compensation on a two-year referendum than just politicians making decisions.

You have to look at the overhaul and allow citizens to make decisions in terms of the modality that they would prefer.
