2019 South African general election: Analysis and News

Several people arrested in KwaZulu-Natal for voting more than once

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) in KwaZulu-Natal has confirmed that police have arrested several people for voting more than once.

The arrests were made in Port Shepstone, Hluhluwe and Danhauser.

Complaints arose on Wednesday that the indelible ink is removable and this allowed people to vote twice.

They suspect at least 20 people of having double-voted.
