[LISTEN] Beat election fatigue with funnyman John Vlismas

South Africans couldn't be blamed for experiencing election fatigue as they hang in there to finally hear the announcement of the official results on Saturday evening.

Phemelo Motene chats to award-winning stand-up comedian John Vlismas for a bit of comic relief.

The funnyman says he's had own fair share of ballot blunders.

I wish I could show you my ink - you blow and the ink just vanishes...

John Vlismas, Stand-up comedian

I voted so many times, I have so many favourites... I gave everyone a chance...

John Vlismas, Stand-up comedian

Vlismas says he meant to vote for Hlaudi Motsoeneng, the disgraced former SABC chief operating officer and leader of the new African Content Movement (ACM), but got it wrong.

Hlaudi is the president of his own mind. This is what I love about this man. He just talks as if reality has no bearing on anything.

John Vlismas, Stand-up comedian

Will Vlismas be on the edge of his seat, waiting for the final election results this evening?

I've got two shows today, so I may be doing something more important and talking about death...

John Vlismas, Stand-up comedian

Appropriately, his show is called "The End".
