All eyes though, are on President Cyril Ramaphosa's Cabinet announcement.

Africa Melane on 702 Breakfast speaks to Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) chief operations officer Busisiwe Mavuso about his hopes for the new Cabinet.

One of the things that the president promised when he took office last year was that he was going to reduce the size of the Cabinet.

Busisiwe Mavuso, COO - BLSA

She says the biggest issue for BLSA is who Ramaphosa will appoint into the new Cabinet.

We need competent people, who are capable and skilled, who are beyond reproach from a moral and ethical perspective. We need people of the right calibre.

Busisiwe Mavuso, COO - BLSA

She believes that if the ANC-led government has learned anything from the last 10 years, it is the type of people that should not be in government.

We are hoping that this time around, they are going to put the right people in power because it all starts with ethical leadership.

Busisiwe Mavuso, COO - BLSA

She says bloated ministries need to be restructured and reduced.

The composition of bloated ministries can be better, and a lot of thought needs to go into what the focus of the country will be thus informing the structure of the Cabinet.

Busisiwe Mavuso, COO - BLSA

If we are serious about turning things around and getting out of this economic crisis, we need to configure Cabinet.
