Donald Trump bans Huawei in the US

United States President Donald Trump has struck again.

This time, Trump has issued an executive order that effectively bars US companies from using any telecoms equipment manufactured by China’s Huawei.

Trump claims Huawei, one of China's most prominent companies, poses a spying risk to Western technology infrastructure.

To better understand the implications of this move, Mike Wills spoke to PlainSpeak founder Alistair Fairweather.

Donald Trump is like a clock; even a broken clock is right twice a day. He is often right for the wrong reasons. I think he is right to be cautious. I am not sure he is right to put them on an entity list.
