[UPDATE] Kind-hearted listeners ensure murdered security guard receives burial

35-year-old Ernest Kanzi had come from the Eastern Cape to make a living to support his family. He found work as a security guard, hired by the School Governing Body at Woodlands Primary School.

Last Sunday he was stabbed to death on the school premises.

His family could not afford to transport his body back home for burial and his sister-in-law Nikelwa Tshonepi. and her long-time employer Mark Van Wijk asked listeners for help.

CapeTalkers stepped up helping to raise R4000 last week.

One man has now enabled the full costs to be covered.

Ernest Kanzi's family is able to take his body back to the Eastern Cape thanks to the generosity of Clint Beech and others.

He says he realised the money raised would not be enough.

Being in this business, R4000 is not nearly enough to give a dignified funeral, not even take their body up to the Eastern Cape,

Clint involved his servicing partner, FMS Marketing Solutions, and explained the situation.

Within 5 minutes they called me back to says Clint just let us know when and where we need to render the service and they agreed to assist and partner with me.

On Thursday morning Ernest Kanzi's body will be transported back to a funeral home in the Eastern Cape including an accompanying family member.

So they can continue with a dignified funeral.
