Renisha Jimmy, the sister of Reshall Jimmy, who died when his Ford Kuga allegedly caught fire in December 2015, reflects on the court case currently underway at the Western Cape High Court.
Speaking to CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies Jimmy says Ford told the court that it was not liable for the death of Reshall.
They basically said that it is every other reason but their fault was the cause of the fire.— Renisha Jimmy, sister to Reshall Jimmy
They spoke about the fact that the fire was about 1000 degrees celsius but expected Reshall to come out of that car.— Renisha Jimmy, sister to Reshall Jimmy
It was difficult for me and the family to sit there and hear how my brother died, it was a difficult day.— Renisha Jimmy, sister to Reshall Jimmy
Jimmy says her mother is struggling to find peace because Ford keeps on insisting that this was a probable suicide.
She says the family is geared up to keep on fighting.
Ford's US expert John Louds continues to give evidence.
We are confident that advocate Gerrie Nel will prove how he misled the court and the length they are taking to try and get away and cover up their negligence.— Renisha Jimmy, sister to Reshall Jimmy
The Jimmy family wants Jeff Nemeth, former Ford CEO to return to South Africa and provide answers for what exactly transpired when Reshall died.
We want him back, he needs to come back. He had a huge hand in the entire dealing since Reshall's incident happened.— Renisha Jimmy, sister to Reshall Jimmy
He has to answer. He has meddled with evidence, changed witness testimonies so he does have a hand in this.— Renisha Jimmy, sister to Reshall Jimmy
