Westcott relays to Cape Talk's Kieno Kammies what happened that morning.

On Monday morning at 2: 30 am I was coming back from a friend of mine's place, we just had dinner and I was walking back to my car. My car was parked in Sea Point and as I crossed the main road, there was a police van facing towards Camps Bay.

He says he walked towards his car and at the corner of his eye, he saw the police van circle and turn to follow him down the road.

And before I knew it, two officers jumped out and started assaulting me. They threw me up against the wall, grabbed me by the throat, pulled all my possessions out my pockets, they took my car keys and then accused me of all sorts of things.

Before I knew it they were gone, I jumped in my car and I drove home. When I got home I realised that they had taken R500 out of my wallet.
