Police on the hunt for Stellenbosch farm killing suspects

Western Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant-colonel Andre Traut has confirmed the shooting of a 62-year-old farmer in Stellenbosch on Sunday night.

He says four suspects ambushed the farmer, his wife and a friend while they were having supper at around 18h50.

The suspects shot the farmer and tied up his wife and the friend. They fled with personal belongings, a handbag and cellphones.

They are yet to be arrested.

We are making an appeal with any persons who can assist the police with investigations to contact crime stop on 08600 10111.

The name of the farmer and the farm where the incident took place have not yet been released by the police.
