Spare a thought for Sutherlanders – they now must drive 260 kilometres to Laingsburg if they need to get to a Standard Bank branch.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Phillip de Wet, Associate Editor at Business Insider South Africa.

De Wet wrote an article on Tuesday in which he details how Standard Bank’s branch closures will hit the Northern Cape, Free State and other provinces.

He gave a detailed breakdown of how far Standard Bank’s closed branches are from their nearest alternative.
