Death toll in Sudan rises as more bodies pulled from Nile River
EWN Africa correspondent Jean-Jacques Cornish says the death toll of Sudanese opposition protesters continues to soar as corpses are being dragged out from the Nile River.
Cornish says South Africans living there have said that at least 60 people have died, but that was before the bodies were pulled out of the Nile.
According to reports, over 100 civilians have been killed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since the beginning of the week.
These demonstrations began against the dramatic rise of bread prices late last year and escalated until Omar Al Bashir had to go and that is where we are now.Jean-Jacques Cornish, Africa correspondent - EWN
