EWN Africa correspondent Jean-Jacques Cornish describes the situation and says more than 60 people have been killed.

EWN Africa correspondent Jean-Jacques Cornish says the death toll of Sudanese opposition protesters continues to soar as corpses are being dragged out from the Nile River.

Cornish says South Africans living there have said that at least 60 people have died, but that was before the bodies were pulled out of the Nile.

According to reports, over 100 civilians have been killed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since the beginning of the week.
