Zuks Ramasia is the new SAA interim CEO

Zuks Ramasia will take over as interim chief executive officer of the South African Airways (SAA).

The airline announced Ramasia's appointment at a media briefing on Friday following the abrupt resignation by Vuyani Jarana last week.

EWN reporter Kgomotso Modise who was at the briefing, speaks to Nikolaus Bouwer on the Xolani Gwala Show.

The SAA board today presented the interim CEO Ramasia after we saw the resignation by Jarana. The board expressed so much confidence on Ramasia as she served with the company for a long time.

Modise says the board said it is confident that Ramasia will be able to hold things down until SAA has a new CEO and Ramasia will work with Jarana until August when he hands over the reigns.
