Former Proteas coach Gary Kirsten chats about taking a group of under-13 cricketers from Khayelitsha overseas to watch the Cricket World Cup.

It's crazy to believe this is the week we are leaving.

Kirsten says it has been something of a bureaucratic process getting all the unabridged birth certificates sorted in order for the passports to be completed.

We just half nervously waiting for the UK visas but we are assured those will be good to go.

We have 13 kids from Khayelitsha heading off to the World Cup. It is an amazing story and I am so chuffed it has come off.

Shoprite marketing general manager Willie Pieters joins Kieno and says the group will sponsor first aid kits, basic medicines for the group, and 20 toiletry packs including toothbrushes, toothpaste, and sunscreen.
