Media24’s Landbouweekblad is 100 years old.

The Afrikaans language publication is South Africa’s most popular and influential magazine about agriculture.

The magazine was founded in 1919; before the state officially recognised Afrikaans.

The magazine has the latest farming news and scientifically researched articles about a wide range of farming practices.

It had an average weekly circulation of 22 353 copies in the first quarter of 2019.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Chris Burgess, Editor-in-chief at Landbouweekblad.

The best covers are those we receive from readers.

Chris Burgess, Editor-in-chief - Landbouweekblad

It [mission of Landbouweekblad] is to make sure that agriculture is still around after 100 years. It’s not good enough to just dispense information… Our other big drive is regenerative farming [getting by with fewer inputs] … and to illustrate best practice… And to build an inclusive and productive agricultural sector…
