Even if Zindzi was not an ambassador you would still be touched, says Eusebius

South Africa's ambassador to Denmark, Zindzi Mandela, has sparked a Twitter debate on the land issue with the above tweet.

Following her remarks, lobby groups and some politicians have called for her to be recalled from her diplomatic posting.

Social media users engaged on the topic with many defending Mandela, saying an honest and open discussion needs to be had on the land.

Eusebius says Zindzi Mandela can tweet her own truth.

If she wants to talk her truth or tweet her truth, even as an ambassador for me that is perfectly legit.

Eusebius McKaiser, Show host

I wonder how many people who are responding to Zindzi are conveniently smoothing over the complexity in Sithembile's tweet by saying: 'Oh it's just unambassadorial.'

Eusebius McKaiser, Show host

If Zindzi Mandela was not an ambassador, I wonder whether you would engage the contents of those tweets differently.

Eusebius McKaiser, Show host

I suspect some people who criticise her would engage her differently but I also suspect, knowing the country I live in and you live in, that some people would be equally touched on their studios even if this was not an ambassador.
