Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula says those who break the law must be dealt with accordingly.
Forty-two people have died in separate accidents in Limpopo over the 16 June long weekend.
Mbalula visited families of the people who died when a minibus collided with a bus along R81 in Maphalle in the Mopani region.
It is reported that the minibus taxi was carrying 10 more people above its capacity.
Speaking to Joanne Joseph, Eyewitness News reporter Edwin Ntshidi says Mbalula also touched on the demerit system.
