Are homeless people under attack in the City of Tshwane?
Fear has descended on the streets of Pretoria as the dead body of a fourth homeless man has been discovered.
In the past few weeks, bodies of homeless men bludgeoned and stabbed repeatedly to death have been discovered around Magnolia Dell Park in Muckleneuk.
Joanne Joseph speaks to South African Police Services spokesperson Captain Daniel Mavimbela on the investigations.
The deceased was found at the corner of Justice Mohammed and Troye Street in Sunnyside. It is a location further apart from the ones where we discovered the other bodies previously.— Captain Daniel Mavimbela, spokesperson - SAPS
This morning as we were engaging the homeless persons, they said they are now sleeping in packs. They expressed disappointment that the person who was found murdered this morning was alone at that intersection.— Captain Daniel Mavimbela, spokesperson - SAPS
Mavimbela says they cannot say whether there is a serial killer or not.
