High-level task team deployed after a fifth homeless man found dead in Tshwane

Police have confirmed that the fifth body of a homeless person was found murdered at Muckleneuk in Tshwane, Wednesday morning.

A high-level task team has been deployed to investigate a spate of murders of homeless people in that area in the last month.

According to a statement released by Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters, all victims were male, middle-aged, homeless and killed during the night.

We want to caution the public to be vigilant and to be aware of this prowler that preys on the vulnerable.

Ours as the police is to work around the clock to ensure that this madness is brought to an end. For now, we are in the process of getting these homeless people into shelters.
