#Sona - What the president needs to say about SOEs

It remains to be seen whether President Cyril Ramphosa will continue with the rescue mission of beleaguered energy giant Eskom during Thursday's Sona.

Deputy editor at the Financial Mail Sikhonathi Mantshantsha says what the president says about state-owned enterprises (SOEs) will form the most crucial part of his speech.

The most important thing is what the president will do, not say, what he will DO about Eskom, the SABC, Denel - they are all bankrupt and they need restructuring and bailout.
