Police investigating after foetus found on Durban plane

Technical crew members on FlySafair made a grisly discovery on Friday morning when they came across a disposed foetus while cleaning the waste management system of a plane at King Shaka International Airport in Durban.

The team was preparing the aircraft for a flight to Johannesburg when it was discovered.

Eyewitness reporter Mia Lindeque says while passengers were asked to disembark, another aircraft was on standby.

Passengers were alerted that they have to disembark the plane. It appears that this foetus might have been in an early morning flight or even the previous night.

Officials are now investigating to determine who is responsible for this. Police are still on the scene. FlySafair management say that they are co-operating.
