[WATCH] Sho Madjozi first female South African to win BET award

South African rapper, singer and songwriting superstar Sho Madjozi walked away with the best new international act at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening, the first female artist to do so.

She inspired millions of young girls during her acceptance speech saying "My story is a testament that you can come from any village, in any forgotten part of the world, and still be a superstar."

Madjozi is known for incorporating Tsonga culture in her music.

Mzansi took Twitter with ecstatic congratulations for the young star.
