The new Rand Water pipeline installation is going according to plan.
Rand Water executive manager Eddie Singo says they have not received reports of water cuts so far except for a burst pipe in Emfuleni.
Speaking to Joanne Joseph, Singo says the Emfuleni incident is the only one recorded and they are working on fixing it.
So far, things are looking good as we had planned. As far as the water shutdown, Rand Water is on course.— Eddie Singo, Executive manager - Rand Water
There are reports of a challenge in Emfuleni, but we know there is a burst pipe there. The pressure is low. There might be areas where there is no water. They should be able to repair the leak as soon as possible.— Eddie Singo, Executive manager - Rand Water
Rand Water will connect a newly laid pipeline which will add more water into the system called B19.
