Pick n Pay's Fresh Living magazine now available in Braille

Pick n Pay's popular Fresh Living magazine is now available to the visually impaired.

The magazine's editor Justine Drake chats to Kieno Kammies about the idea to create a Braille version of the magazine.

I'd love to say I had this epiphany, but I would be lying. One of our readers who is partially sighted contacted us and said what about a braille magazine.

She says it has been such a great idea and has really taken off.

Imagine opening all those recipes and wonderful content to people who couldn't previously enjoy it.

It is their intention to roll out every magazine in Braille.

We trialed one, and we just took our second one to the press and it should be out this week.

The braille version is not a money-making venture, she says and only comprises some 400 copies.

It has no photographs and is a pared down version - but has all the content.
