Zimbabwe bans foreign currency

Zimbabwe has announced that it would abandon the use of foreign currencies for the Zimbabwe dollar.

The local dollar is now the only legal tender, nearly a decade after it was destroyed by hyperinflation.

Clement Manyathela speaks to Newsday Zimbabwe senior reporter Blessed Mhlanga about the financial situation in the country.

Most of the people in Zimbabwe do not have access to the US dollar.
