Gwede Mantashe weighs in on the Mkhwebane-Ramaphosa saga

Minister of Mineral Resources Gwede Mantashe has weighed in on the President Cyril Ramaphsoa and Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane Bosasa saga.

Speaking on the sidelines of the National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union policy conference, Mantashe told journalists that he thinks there are times that Mkhwebane has ventured into the political terrain.

Mkhwebane is investigating Ramaphosa’s ANC presidential campaign donation from Bosasa.

What Gwede Mantashe refers to is the case that the Public Protector is currently investigating into the president's donation from Bosasa.

Mantashe told us that he feels that its a problem in the fact he feels the president is being targeted.

He says there were seven presidential candidates for the ANC, however, none of their campaign funds or donations is being scrutinised by the Public Protector.
