[ LISTEN] 'The money is going to come from me'

Gauteng MEC for Finance Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko says her department will soon be scheduling meetings with the province's MECs before their plans are presented to the budget council.

Nkomo-Ralehoko was responding to questions surrounding Premier David Makhura's state of the province address on Monday.

The MEC says the fifth administration will be expected to implement plans that have already been put in place, some of which are in motion.

I am one of those that must make sure that if that money is not there, it must be there because we need to make sure that Gauteng changes indeed into the Silicon Valley... so the money is going to come from me.

Premier has spoken, after today we are going to meet with teams in the departments and organise meetings with various MECs.

There will be an improvement in terms of job creation, the rate of unemployment is going to go down in the province once we start with the projects he has spoken about.
