The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have told media that as a result of the party’s failure to clinch power in Tswhane, they will abstain from voting with other political parties including the Democratic Alliance and the African National Congress in municipalities where it is represented.
EFF leader Julius Malema was speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday.
EWN reporter Theto Mahlakoana has more on the story.

Malema has also criticised President Cyril Ramaphosa saying the president is undermining the country’s constitution by not taking action against public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan as per the Public Protector’s remedial action.
According to Mahlokoana, Malema says the party is getting legal advice on possibly applying to the Constitutional Court to compel Ramaphosa to comply with the remedial action.
He says the EFF are consulting their legal counsel on whether to take this matter to the Constitutional Court.— Theto Mahlakoana, Senior Political Reporter - EWN
