A video of a taxi passenger taking over the wheel has been circulated on social media.
On her commute to work on Wednesday morning, Tshepiso Shongwe volunteered to drive when the taxi driver got into an altercation with Johannesburg metro police.
She says officers used pepper spray on the taxi driver, affecting his eyesight and making it difficult for him to continue the trip to Noord taxi rank.
